Is it normal to remember and wish that my cat would come home?

Alright, everyone, you may call me crazy, but I still think my cat is going to come home. She's been gone for almost a year now, but I can't forget her... She meant everything to me! Don't tell me to get a new cat. Don't tell me to forget her, don't tell me to give up hope! I'm sorry if I sound rude. I just don't want to forget her... So is it normal?

    Aww yes that's normal. It may be a good idea to start looking for a new cat at a rescue shelter, just to keep you company. You're not giving up on him, you're just not standing still in life.

    Yes... We once had a cat that didn't come back. I was more bummed about that (and still am 10 years later) than I was when my parents broke up. I just remember the good times snuggling with him when I was a child :)

    There have also been some pets that died over the years, I still get sad when I think of them sometimes.
