I work hard. I have a good job. I have a nice place. I have a nice car.
Nobody else I know has a car, so they are always asking for rides. Many aren't even close friends, just people I know. Some are nice girls but never my gf (they have made that clear). Nobody ever offers to chip in.
I'm fed up. I want to put a sign in my car that reads, "Grass, gas or ass. NOBODY rides for free."
Is it OK?

    Yeah, just ask for compensation of some sort or make it clear you don't want to give rides period. Set boundaries. No reason to resent them unless you're letting them get over on you and if that's the case then be mad at yourself, not them.

    If they won't chip in, then go ahead and cut their free rides off. They're not your friends and you don't owe them anything. Also, if you were to get into a car accident, you might get sued by one of them.

    Of course it's normal to get upset with people who are clearly using you. Just tell them. Don't be passive aggressive in the hope they'll get the message. You work hard for what you have it's time they do the same. Free rides are over. Take the bus or walk.
