Is it normal to rub my fingers between my toes and smell them?

Idk if this is normal or not but sometimes it itches between my toes and I would rub my fingers between them to relieve the itch. A few times out of boredom and curiousity I took my fingers and smelled them after rubbing them between my toes. I couldn't stand the dirty smell at first but later on for some reason I just naturally came to like it.

I can assure you (The viewers who are reading this) that I'm not trolling and didn't post this for the purpose of grossing you out so that you can post your reactions so I can laugh at them. I'm really serious about this and I'm afraid that if other people saw me doing it that they would see it as weird. Is this normal? :(

Not so abnormal. For instance, I am not a cheese-lover, but I know many who are and TBH sometimes they eat cheese that smells like FEET to me urgh! But that proves that this cheesy feet smell is actually considered attractive by some.

You could probably spread your toe-jam on crackers and convince friends and family to eat it, they'd be none the wiser, lol!

Ahh, the ol toejam smelling problem again. A problem all too common among those of the basement dwelling variety. Has the smell intrigued you enough to taste it? Make an appointment with a local podiatrist (foot doctor) to discuss this habit you have found yourself engaging in. Perhaps he can recommend a support group of other foot smellers where you can find others of your kind to exchange stories of your greatest toejam discoveries. Who knows you may even meet a future spouse there.

Wanting to smell your fingers is a biological response, and is completely normal.

We have things go wrong with our feet (athlete's foot, that sort of thing) from time to time, so if you have an itch there is a latent instinct in your brain to "check up" on yourself, see if you detect anything out of the ordinary. Not that it relates specifically to feet, of course. We check up on ourselves in many different ways. It's just a little program nature left behind that helps us know when we are sick.

As for developing a liking for it? Er... no clue why that happened, possibly some sort of association. Think it's a little gross, even, but hey - whatever floats your boat.

    • Well, at least you're sincere with your answer. I know for a fact that many people would probably think I'm trolling and would post something disrespectful but you kept it straight-forward and refrained from that.

I agree with you that it's normal and human nature to smell things but Idk if it's " normal " to enjoy foul smells. I guess at the very least it doesn't make me a bad person. Thanks for your comment.

Well there have been plenty of "Is it normal I like to smell my own farts" questions here. In fact I think it's about time we're due for another one, so at least you're not one of THEM.

Also, you're welcome :) Least I can do.

I absolutely love the aroma of my toe jam. On occasion I do taste it and it's a bit salty. I look forward to taking socks off and discovering that moist paste at the end of a long day. The scent is intoxicating, I inhale long, deep breaths. I usually do one toe at a time, when the scent becomes weak, I move to the next toe. It gives me a sense of comfort, even nurturing. On days when I don't find any jam, I experience a sense of disappointment.
I'm a 43yo female, I work full time, worship, volunteer, socially active, just an all around average loving person but my toe jam obsession is just my secret fetish.
The smell of another person's feet or body musk is not something I can handle, eewww, but my own ... Enjoyable.
Hey, I'm being truly honest here, completely open and candid. I believe it's normal to enjoy your own personal fragrances.
I have also enjoyed the moist persperation that accumulates at the crease of my inner thigh leading to my perineum. At times it has an extremely faint aroma resembling my most recent fragrant flatulence.
I've enjoyed sharing my personal and private compulsion here. I would enjoy also, reading any feedback offered. Thank you 😊

    Happy Sniffing 👣

I think it's something to do with candida, but yeah, it's not so weird.

Not normal if you are liking it... I also do it... but just as a need... to check if the fungus is either disappearing or progressing... anyway... do it privately, and you will feel fucking normal! :1
