Is it normal to say excuse me when i burp?

I was raised to say excuse me every time I burp, but I rarely if ever hear anyone else do the same. So now it seems kinda awkward to say excuse me when I burp, so sometimes I just whisper it to myself. Is it normal to say excuse me?

    My mom does that. It gets kind of annoying. Just be aware of who you're with because if you're with your family and they'll think you rude if you don't say it then say it. But if you're with people like me who don't care about manners at all, it gets annoying.

    I say bless me, or bless you if someone burps. It's whatever.

    Say it anyway, no one should be offended by a polite "excuse me".

    I always say excuse me even if I'm alone. It's how I was raised. Although sometimes it annoys me and I end up swearing. My male coworkers love it when I burp. The are easily entertained. But I haven't really noticed the habits of others, I don't think much about it.
