Is it normal to scare a robber?

A skinny dude broke in to my house about a 2 weeks ago.
He came 3 times that day. Two to ask for money and one to brake in. The second time he forced the lock on a door but couldn't come in. I shot a video of him doing it.

That same night, I was alone, listening to music and eating pizza. I was waiting for a my aunt. She was going to show me a cologne catalog. It was 9:30 pm.
I'm a normal guy, and I wouldn't kill another man. I saw him, no gun or weapon.
I went outside from another door and took one of my dad's machetes and snook up on him. I turned the living room's light and saw him. The same skinny 19 year old brown skinned guy I saw earlier. I could tell he was scared, and I was too. Really really scared. Lol

Well... I took advantage of the moment and told him that I was fortunate, I needed some human parts for a ritual.
That comment, death metal on kinda loud, my posters, My job for the cowboy screensaver and the pentagram Costa Rica Flag(something I made when Slayer came) on my wall and that dude fled like a roach. I showed the video to my aunt and she went to the police. Lol
Haven't seen him since.

Is it normal? I know my actions were stupid but it worked. Now I get paranoid when someone nocks the door. Lol

    I was working late one night (about 3am) when I saw three hooded figures peering in the window. I had all the lights out, the only light was from the laptop. I think they saw me at the same time I saw them.

    They were startled and ran. Spurred on by adrenaline and anger, I left the house and decided to chase them. It was clear in about 15 seconds that I wasn't going to catch them so I wanted to shout something at them, but I had no time to think and the words I heard screaming out of my own mouth were "I'm going to kill you and eat you, you degenerate fuckoooooooes" followed by the kind of noise I've only ever heard from The Incredible Hulk.

    Ironically, I think it worked.

      Heh.

      you should check out Surefire - they're pretty blinding.

      My boyfriend mounted one to one of his handguns for a home-defense setup. The idea behind it is... the light will allow you to identify targets, so you don't make a mistake.... and at the same time, it's so *blinding* if it IS a bad guy it may just put the fear of God into them and stop them without bloodshed.

      cos... it's all about *neutralizing* the threats.

        Ahh, firearms are illegal here. God knows how many years I'd get in prison for owning one. I like the idea of a bright light, though, like a searchlight. I don't think the neighbours would be impressed at 3am, though. The police helicopter is bad enough. That's nearly every night, as it is.

    Thumbs up :D such a creative way t scare the robber. I need u need t set up some alarms so that they will be scare away once the alarm goes off, even if there's nobody at home.
