Is it called Liberate? There are a few apps like that where they don't let you sign up if you're white. Please report them to Google play if you can because racism is not okay.

Black isnt a culture though. Hell actual africans see themselves differently than african Americans. It's unfair to group them together into simply just "blacks" since there are hundreds of cultures within africa and not all of them are black, yet they are still african.

You do realize Africa is a massive continent, right? There’s 1.2 billion people living in Africa and 80+% of them are people of color. That’s thousands of different cultures, and every single one of them is a drastically different culture than POC in America. Why are we even talking about Africa? You just brought it up out of thin air solely on the basis that they have the same skin color. When a black person in America creates an app that’s advertised as being by and for black people in America, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out they’re not grouping themselves together with somebody living in Africa.

"Reverse racism" is an oxymoron. Judging/excluding people solely based on the color of their skin is racism, no matter what way you spin it. As Lloyd said, the opposite of racism is simply not being racist, not "reverse racism" or whatever silly name people want to come up with for blatant racism.
I accidentally voted "not normal" (as in I was thinking it isn't normal for this app to exist), but it is normal for you to think that this is BS. The way to fight racism is not with racism, and I have no idea how a meditation app of all things is something that needs to be exclusive to a certain race. This kind of stuff only creates more division.

Here's what reverse racism means in critical race theory. The only way to cure past discrimination is with future discrimination. If that doesnt raise any red flags with you intellectual types than I dont know what will.

I'm white but my ancestors came from finland, zero slave ownership. I dont get how I now have to pay reparations for shit that happened generations ago. Financially what you made has no bearing on how your grand kids will fare. It's all about personal responsibility. Civil rights was in the 60s been 60 years since then. I dont see how today's racism is somehow worse than 60+ years ago.

On a serious note, I’m white and I just joined the app. It doesn’t even ask what race you are and it literally says in the first paragraph of the app’s description that anyone is welcome to use it.
EDIT: by the way, they ARE dividing by culture. Black is a culture, white isn’t. If there was an app that was marketed as being by and for Irish or Polish or Jewish or even southern Americans, nobody would have a problem with it. Like black people, each of those people are a culture.
It's not normal, but black people like giving non-black people a hard time. There's even a discrimination against being weird, or gay, or a woman, or not wearing a hijab. Religion is sexist, or it's bullshit, and I was right in the first place, there's even a reverse discrimination not because you're atheist but because you're religious.
All discrimination is different types of the same thing, but it doesn't stop a gourmet from discriminating everything that isn't gourmet, or a reverse discrimination, discriminating against food because it's fancy. All the discrimination of the good is some differences you have that cause a reaction.

And segregated cemeteries! This was pretty fucked and shitty, however black folks spun this to their advantage. This gave black people the opportunity to have their own cemeteries and it gave them a business and money. Its still common to find black cemeteries/funeral homes because its an empowering thing to them now 😊

Hopefully you’re going to clarify your nonsensical claim that i stereotyped people next(did you get me confused with somebody else, maybe Uniballerz or Lloyd or yourself?), or at least clear up the nonsense about people in Africa and Detroit sharing the same values.
As for the statistic you responded to, as you may have guessed, it’s misleading at best and flat out wrong at worst. That’s referring to the crimes that are solved, which is less than half of them. So when you consider the fact that, if a black person and a white person commit the same crime, the black person is more likely to become a person of interest, more likely to become a suspect, more likely to be arrested, more likely to be charged, more likely to go to trial, less likely to get a plea deal, more likely to be convicted, and will get a harsher punishment than the white person…it’s easy to see why there’s likely a much higher percentage of black people in the “solved crimes” bucket than the “unsolved crimes” bucket. And that’s not factoring in the systemic racism(less generational wealth, worse education, worse job opportunities, less pay, etc) that is more likely to drive black people to a life of crime than a white person, or the intentional criminalization of things that black people are more likely to do while looking the other way at equally awful things white people do, or the uneven enforcement of crimes each group of people is more likely to commit. Imagine how different the numbers would be if, say, fraud and corruption were pursued with the same vigor as unpaid parking tickets and selling weed.
According to the US dept statistics and US dept of corrections 72% of all crime is committed by black people. So that stereotype is correct.
