Is it normal to shower with your friend ?

I slept over at my friends house yesterday, and while I was showering she hopped in ? We're both females and I've never done something like that before. She seemed really comfortable, so I thought it was normal at the time. But now I'm thinking that it was a little weird, I've only known her for about 4 months and I've never asked her whether she was straight or not.

    I'm sure there are lots of public service ads in California that say you should shower with a friend to conserve water.

    My friend and I used to shower together and there was nothing weird about it. Even after we stopped we still sat in the bathroom and talked while the other showered.

    I think communal showers are coming into style, like the ones we had in the locker rooms in high school, but for the whole family regardless of gender.

    It really depends on your age because I recall when I was much younger like about 9,10 or 11,
    I would shower with my best friend and sister sometimes. There did come a day that my mother stopped us doing that as she said we were too old for that anymore (can't remember our age). We were only kids so it was innocent but I guess it would definitely be weird if we did it now , being much older.
    Also, another friend once got me to check out her but cheeks while she was in the shower (this was not too long ago, few years back. She wanted me to see if she had gotten all of the permanent marker off her bum that a stripper guy signed. Haha I remember feeling awkward about it but daum her butt was cute. Anyhow back to the question- I think its normal but you never know in today's world as she could be bi or something or just plain confident.
