Is it normal to sign off on an email with "god bless"?

I think that all work related email sign offs should be neutral and it is insensitive to sign off with something along the lines of "God Bless" or other religious related phrases if you are unaware of the religious affiliation of the recipient of your email. Using religious related phrases in work emails is not normal.

    "In God We Trust" is the official slogan of the US

    It is on our money

    God is in our pledge of allegiance "One Nation, Under God"

    It is in the declaration of independence, God gives us our rights

    If you dont like seeing God just ignore it. A person has every right to write it in a work email

      Some 230 years ago people saw the world quite differently. The system of government they envisioned and it's symbols obviously are not the same as today's reality.
      Time to wake up and catch up with the times. If there ever was a gawd, he abandoned this country the day we dropped atomic bombs on two defenseless cities in Japan.

    It can be normal if you work for a church or affiliated group as people won't be surprised to see you affirm your beliefs in conversation otherwise it's unusual but perfectly civil. As long as you don't get offended when someone responds with "praise be to allah" or some greeting from their own belief system.

    Personally I think it's time we moved on from religion and worked on humanity instead.

    It's totally meaningless: does the sender think god is reading the email and will then follow orders to bless the recipient? It's like these people praying for victims and survivors of disasters and massacres: will their god not help these people unless they're prayed for? Does h/she/it sit up their in the clouds totalling up how many prayers are said before acting?
