Is it normal to slide rods between your fingers?

I've been doing this for a long long time without knowing why. Any cylindrical rod shaped object, pencil, pen, metal lustrous or non lustrous rods.

Is there any other person in this world who could relate to this? If yes please drop a comment, i want to know what's making me do this since childhood.

    if you got a few bucks to spend look at mcmaster-carr

    you can get all kindsa metal rods to fidget with

    semi exotic stuff too like bronze titanium inconel tungsten or monel
