Is it normal to smell even when you shower and put anti-perspirant?

I shower once a day everytime i go out, i put anti-perspirant and perfume but after a short period of time, i feel like i smell bad, maybe it's just my imagination but for example, when i'm in class and it's a 5 minute break, some of my classmates and i stay inside with the door locked. When my other classmates arrive they immediatly complain about the smell and because of previous bad experiences about the same subject in other schools (when i didn't shower everyday) i feel subconscious about myself. Everytime someone around complains about some bad smell, i always think it's me. I wish i could be like those people that smell good even without taking a shower. But i don't understand, i shower everytime i go out, i use deodorant, perfume and washed clothes so theoretically, i should smell good but that lasts short periods of time, i feel like i have to put on deodorant every hour. can you please help me?

use the heavy duty stuff. bit more expensive but it keeps you from smelling. I have a gene that makes me smell pretty bad if i don't use decent deodorant. perfectly normal, just irritating

Are you keeping your arms close to your sides with your armpits not allowed to breath? That could be a reason.

Your deodorant is also an ANTI-PERSPIRANT. That means that it's supposed to help you from perspiring, but it's NOT a DE-ODORIZER. You need both of these. A "de-odorizer" stops the smell while the anti-perspirant stops you from sweating. Luckily, many deodorants come with both inside.

Finally, make sure you wipe your deodorant each time you use it. Residue from it can make it smell which can transfer to your armpits.

I have this one shirt. Let's call him Jeffrey.

Jeffrey smells bad when I start to sweat. None of my other shirts do this. Only Jeffrey. Bad Jeffrey.

So maybe it's a certain type of clothing material that could be the root of all evil?

You may have a metabolic disorder called Trimethylaminuria. Or it could be all in your head. Have you ever thought of asking someone if you smell bad? who nose, it's hard to make scents of it without smelling you.

Could be alot of things. Maybe it's not you. If it is, where on your body is the smell coming from? Many antiperspirants don't contain a deodorant. Check yours. And some foods, especially spicy ones, can make the body smell. Drugs, medical conditions, nervousness, dandruff, bad breath, etc. etc. can also be the culprit.
