When I first got my cats Pepper and Sparkey, I would sneeze when I was around them. My mom thought I was allergic to cats, but im not.
Their fur may trap a lot of dust which could be the cause of your sneezing.
I do the same thing. I played with my neighbors kittens yesterday and couldn't stop sneezing. But, I have been tested to see if I was allergic twice, and I'm not, so I think they just bother my allergies.
You're probably not allergic to your cats. But may be allergic to a protein in their salvia, which is spread all over their fur as the constantly groom themselves. That's probably all it is.
