Watch the news on English language TV. Say everything out loud that the announcer is saying. You do not need to comprehend all of it. This method helped me gain fluency in Spanish.

Conversing with native speakers will help you embrace this rather strange language.

I joined online English language websites to converse with native speakers and this has been a big help.

I'm not fluent but I am making progress.

I consider myself well educated in English , however I can not speak the language fluently. I am able to write and read in English but find it impossible to speak the language fluently, could anybody help me with this?

The above paragraph my dear is the correct terminology for constructing a proper English sentence. I would like to suggest that you return to your former college and demand that they refund tuition fees as they have failed to teach you English!

Please do have an excellent day, Cheerio!

Well, English is the language most known and commonly spoken, being the official language in 83 countries, and its the most common secondary language around the world, so just by numbers, its normal to speak English fluently.

Now percentage wise, compared to the number of fluent speakers of other languages, not as much.

English is a difficult language to master, with many many grammar and syntax rules That can trip up even native speakers.

So to summarize, English is the most widely spoken language in the world, but, as a second language, if you take everyone who speaks it as a second language, no matter how much or little they know, and compare to another language, for example, espanol, you will have a higher percentage of people who can fluently speak espanol than English.

So, it is quite normal to have problems in speaking English.

Even though what I have said above is true, one thing I have noticed is that a lot of people online who mention "sorry if my English is bad, its not my first language" seem to actually type pretty well, in some cases better than most native speakers!
