    Why do you like looking at them through the scope? Is it because you fantasize about shooting them? If this gets out of control it could be dangerous.

    Go buy some night vision and Infrared binocs. You can get them as a civilian. There won't be an x-hair but will be less "creepy". Then you can go around the neighborhood "cat" watching. I mean bird. Bird watching.

    Some guy got in trouble with Jthe secret service years ago when he wanted to get a better look at his neighbor, Jimmy Carter. He was just being a dipshit and using the best optics he had.

    Not the best idea though.
