I stand up in my living room whenever watching a game on tv and the national anthem is playing or even if they ask to stand for moment of silence. My feeling is that even if it seems silly to some, the act of standing is not that hard and it might be worse not to do so. Since that'd be disrespectful in my eyes. Idk, is this normal?
I don't know.
I barely know a few words from my country's national anthem. And it's never really played anywhere...
But the thought of you standing in your living room by yourself (possibly with your hand on your chest and a tear in your eye) is just so adorable to me.
I stand when the anthem comes on. I say its normal

Yes a lot of people were trained to do this since they were little. They also do this at special events. So I could see why you would.
You are a loyal patriot. I wish more people were like you. I find that kind of funny. I was always a huge patriot and I will probobly die one.
I refuse to stand. Even if I loved the country, I still wouldn't be able to properly say the Pledge of Allegiance because I have been unable to remember it for quite a few years now.
You love your country and that's okay. Just like it is okay for you to stand with your hand over your heart when the National Anthem plays.
