When I get a bath, I nearly always soak for a bit then I stand up to get myself all nice and lathered (I face backwards as I do this). After that, I rinse myself off with a cup then I sit back down in the tub to get the remaining body wash off. When I'm about to get out, I stand up again to rinse off a second time.

I normally soak for a bit, rub soap all over my body so when I stand up I'm gleaming and shiny. Then I slowly reach down, and take a small cup of water to slowly trickle down over my moist naked body. I think it's normal.
Second rinse is essential.
Bath time is just...one of those things...
I just remembered that I used to do the cup rinsing thing as a child. Bath first, then cup.
I had to do this when I stayed in a hotel in Paris. The room had a tub and a shower extension but no proper shower nozzle. I hated it. I was exposed and the nozzle was difficult to control. I kept getting water all over the fucking floor.
I hate baths. They just gross me out. If I had to take a bath I would do what you do.
But anyway, that sounds more like a shower and not a bath.
