Is it normal to stare at pigeons?

Every morning I walk down the same street and notice a bunch of pigeons sitting on the street wires. It's about maybe 20-30 of them sitting up there. I got the habit of just staring up at them as I walk literally under them. Yeah, I should be afraid of them shitting on me but I can't help but stare. It weirds me out how there always in the same dam area too.
