Is it normal to start college at such an early age?

I started going to college at the age of 16, I've always known what I wanted to study, so it's been easy for me to breeze right through my classes. Is this normal? Has anyone else started college early in life?

Normal, depends on the person. I think socially, it's not normal. Knew a younger guy when I was in college (took a criminal justice class with him). Seemed smart enough, but, just couldn't relate, socially, to others who were 18, 19+. Was kind of seen as the annoying younger brother that most of us got away from when started college.

I've often wondered, though..What if he were a she? Hot, young girl of maybe 16 in college with all older guys? Would she have been ok, safe, handle it?
