Is it normal to starve on 2000 calories a day
Please don't respond if you are fat because you don't know anything. If you are used to eating 4000 calories a day, then suddenly reduce to 2000, does your body go into starvation mode or not?

Yes. But if you cut calories slowly, you will avoid starvation mode. You will be able to maintain 2000 a day and lose weight.
Clearly you don't know anything either. Starvation mode? On 2000 calories? No.
Well, I'm fat and I know lots of things: for example, that you're obviously an idiot.
If you're not fat yourself, why are you worrying about calories?
"Please don't respond if you are fat because you don't know anything." LOL best quote
If you go a week consuming only 2000 calories a day you will surely die.
It depends, how much exercise do you get?
If you're a pro football (not soccer, the other one) player, a body builder, or just a serious weight lifter, going down to 2000 calories wouldn't be nearly enough to sustain yourself.
I was eating 4000 to 5000 calories per day trying to gain weight. It didn't work. I'm 5'7" 138 lbs. Active but not in a body builder way.
The healthy minimum is 1,200 for women and 1,500 for men. Below that goes into starvation mode.
This is incorrect:
For women it should be around 2000 and for men 2500-2800 calories (kcal) each day, if the person is moderately active.
Starving is a severe deficiency in one's caloric intake. 2000 calories a day is far from starving. You may feel hungry, but you aren't starving by any means.
