Is it normal to stay here a while and write for others, i'm new?

I am new to this site and I wanted to try it out after seeing my fiance spending so much time here. He goes by Budthewise and I am happy to be with him. I am happy with my life and love my job as a caregiver for disabled people. I am happy with my fiance as he just finished his tax board test and he should become a tax preparer soon. My grammer might be a little off sometimes but he will jump on my butt for it so please leave it up to him. I am truly happy and I want to say please write on my comments and stories as I am very interested in viewing others advice. Thank you all so much for being a good group and I hope I like it here.

My question is, is it normal to stay here a while? To put in feedback from time to time and feel welcome here. Also, can this be posted as I could really use the feedback to feel welcome.

That's awesome that your husband is a tax preparer. Nice! I am trying to become a tax preparer and it's a lot of work. He is awesome for finishing!

Yep, its normal to spend alot of time on this site. Its very interesting and nice to get free advice! But be carefull cos there are alot of immature arseholes on here who will only put you down and sometimes make you feel like crap. You will soon realise and get to know who these people are and what people to actually take advice from-me being one of the nice people :)
    Welcome to IIN? :)

Welcome to the site! :) Just be warned, it can get a little addictive, lol. Anyway I love it here, and I hope you do too. Your fiance seems like a really nice guy, and he has said so many good things about you :) Have a great day!

Normal, I spend tons of time here. Too much time! I'm the type of person that has good advice to offer, but I only like to advise if it's solicited. Unless it's with my good friends or family members, I don't really give my opinion unless it's asked of me, so this place is perfect. A lot of the regulars seem like really cool, nice people so it's fun to go back and forth and see what the others think and learn things about them in the process, even if they're faceless strangers. So, welcome!

  • I'm really tired so I am going to sleep. She read what you wrote and she wanted me to say thank you and she will respond back tomorrow (For me, a while for her but still today in "her" time. Yeah, I know as I say whatever when she talks about her schedule.)

As she bookmarked her profile and I can't find it yet via the search bar, you can see it here.

Hey yeah, i've heard about you :) Bud is quite the regular around these parts.

You sound way too nice, polite and literate to fit in around here, but that can only be a good thing. Welcome to IIN (feel free feed the trolls for fun when your bored!)

To answer your question: it sure is normal to stick around here for a while. Just not as normal as checking this place out for a day or two before getting bored and never returning.

Stories always take some time to appear. When I first joined, I wrote a story on how impatient I was because it was taking ages and I was wondering if it was normal. For some reason, that never got published, unlike the ones about bestiality and the like. Happens with the comments (at the beginning) too.

    Enjoy your stay.

    • Yeah, she is like that. I'm up as I had to send out a Resume/Cover Letter for a job that is hiring new tax people. I am doing the best that I can to help her bring out her true inner self. She is often afraid of speaking her mind and I feel bad for that. That is why I wanted her to join this site to begin with.

When we play Team Fortress, she never uses the Microphone and it often cost her the win as she doesn't organise her team against the "enemy" team. I just would like her to open up more and bring out that inner bitch, in a way, or at the very least be open about herself.

Thank you so much for that comment to her though, she will be very happy to read it as she bitches about this comment toward her story.

Oh, good luck with the job.

Haha, good call, IIN is probably one of the best places to speak your mind. Everyone wants to hear what you've got to say am I right ;)

Seriously, never feel scared to say what you think. Sure, tact goes a long way, but there's never a reason to feel as though you should hide away. You have just as much right to feel confident as everyone else!

Next time, go beat their arses at Team Fortress! Use that mic and show em what you got! I know you want to show off your sexy voice. Go on don't be shy now :)

See what this person had to say about having confidence in yourself (in the comments - the anonymous author):

        • Her and I on TF2. I thought her how to play and she is almost consistantly the Pyro or the Engie. The Pyro was the best class for her as she is so damn impatience when we play and this way she can just run in and set their team on fire.

I taught her well and she often wins against guys who have been playing a lot longer than her. I mostly play as the Medic or Pyro as I am more of a Team Player but my playing style demands a Pyro type of class to work well. DOesn't matter, my skill is almost lightyears ahead of hers but I still am teaching her so hopefully she will catch up with time.

  • Wow Pumpkin, they printed your story. I told you they would but it takes time sometimes. Um, as this is a little awkward, I wanted to say welcome, I guess. See you when you get off of work in the morning and I did send out that email for a job earlier about the time you left for work.

I hope you enjoyed that "party" or whatever the hell you call it at your job earlier. Thanks for letting me finish my job aps in the car during it as I was truly bored.

    Paul
