Dont worry too much about it, Im 24 and still living at home. You will get out on your own soon enough, its better to be financially stable before you move out rather than risk defaulting on your rent.

It depends about how flexible is your family... and who cares about what other people think! I went to a top university in Texas, when I finished it I got a nice job in my hometown (Dallas) so I decided to live with my folks, I saved a lot of money in my first year so I took the decision to buy a home, I bought it but I rented it, so the home is been paid by itself and with my salary is enough money to spend on partying, traveling and save for a master's or something. The problem is I can't take girls to spend the night with me HAHAHA!!! I got to crush her place or invite her to weekend getaway... everything has its cons and pros... you got to be strategic in life if you want to succeed! And of course financial matters! I will continue crashing girls' homes but I'm gonna get my grad education and my home without letting the banks own my life

Honey, there is NOTHING wrong about living with your parents at 23, just as long as you have a job and help contribute...or if you are in school. I am 25-years-old and was living with my parents up until a few months ago. I moved out when I got married! So yes, it's very normal.

  • ya know, with our current economic status more people are moving back in with their parents.

people are holding off on marriage

people are holding off on divorce

it's not uncommon especially in this day and age.

Consider this, Italians live at home until their early 30's. :D

I wish my 2 sons would stay forever (doubtful) They have had girlfriends but nothing serious. We have land and it is very difficult to take care of everything. They go to college, work, and help me a bundle. I enjoy having them around. Life would be lonely without them and the work would be over-bearing. No complaints here. My sons don't get into partying too much but we do have an occasional good time with friends.(Theirs and mine) Don't feel bad your parents probably don't mind you being there.

The question you really want the answer to is should i be living with my mom, and the simple answer is, it depends. do you want to be there? are you paying rent the economy being what it is and all means your mom should not be paying for a freeloader, i moved out very young and had a lot of hardship for it, but at my age (same as you) i wouldnt want to be thrown into that so paying a set AND strict amount (meaning no but mommy i need to save crap) can get you into the habit of living on your own, even if she puts it aside for you or something the important thing is to start acting like you live on you're own. anywho long rant to say, yeah it's pretty normal but you should probably get out if you wanna meet a girl and not have to say "i live with my mom" they dun lieks that.
