Is it normal to talk to my toys?

I've been talking to my toys, especially plush dolls since I can remember and in my head, I take them as my friends. I killed someone in my dream once because they tear one of them in half and I rarely hand wash them, because I think that they will be offended to be put in the washing machine like the inanimate objects that they are.

Honey, nobody can tell you what to do and what you're not allowed to do. So talk to them. People obviously don't understand you well enough anyway.
If it makes you happy then do it.
    You be you.

  • I think inanimate objects can be alive in a way. To get a scientific reasoning there is energy that runs through everything and as the animators it becomes our responsibility to direct that energy. Because you have choosen your toys they have become the storage for the energy you have directed into them. Everybody has special objects but most people dont realize what is going on.

    • I recommend not talking to others about special objects and keeping them stored safe because some people think its a joke and dont believe stuff is alive and might go as far as hiding or possibly breaking them thinking its a joke but its not a fucking joke and I too would beat somebody to death over touching my stuff or my cats and I dont want to go to jail again.

I have a lot of toys that I'm attached to as my friends and I have conversations with more at a time. After reading up on some Freud Psychology, I have actually discovered that since I was quite a hermit when I was young and rarely saw my schoolmates outside of school, I developed friendships with these objects instead of having human friends.

Also yes, after moving, I'm soon going to get a glass-doored wardrobe with shelves to put them in. I cannot even imagine giving them to someone else, even when I have children. I would introduce them, but if I suspect danger, I will remove them from anyone.

Also I don't talk to anybody about this except my family, and they fully accept that, even though I'm almost 18. They talk to them sometimes too, even though it's a little annoying, they're trying their best to accept me and my toys.

        • I think it is good to have items that you care about so much. It means you are a caring person. One item I have is a statue of a dragon one of my bestfriends from childhood gave me before he shot himself. He told me the dragon would always watch out for me and be my guardian. I kept the dragon on display in my living room for a long time and one day one of my asshole friends made a joke about smashing it, although he didnt know the story behind it. I flipped out and restrained from beating him because he didnt touch it but I told him he had to leave. It was disrespectful regardless to make a joke about breaking someones things in their house. Since the I have kept the dragon statue hidden in my room because I never know what some idiot might do. I have quite a few other similar items I have collected through life but keep them hidden now.
