Is it normal to talk to myself ?

Since I am an only child I usually had no one to take to. So I created a kind of second me I talk to. I talk to myself argue with myself make myself laugh and have normal conversations. Don't get me wrong I have friends even best friends but when I'm alone I start talking to myself.

I do. It's the only time I get to have an intelligent conversation.

I talked myself into writing this response. But seriously, I talk to myself all the time. But I just got out of jail (did three years). I hung my ex up by her feet and left her there for two days. So I'm a little nuts. I think it's normal to talk to yourself. But maybe you shouldn't go by me.

I do this, kind of. I'm like obsessed with my crush and I pretend he is with me which is worse than talking to myself I guess.

this is totally normal. more people do this than you would think. If you are sitting in a cafe at a window on a busy street, just watch the people go by, at least half of them are talking to themselves. You know because their lips are moving. I actually talk out loud to myself, normally in a non-language. So it sounds like a foreign language but actually means nothing. But there is clear meaning in the tone. My 6 y/o daughter has actually started copying this behaviour.. I'm so proud of her.

sometimes when i get really lonely i do this without noticing it,i don't think theres anything wrong with it since you are just expressing yourself there just happens to be no one listening....would be unhealthy to just not express yourself

I do this too, it's normal as long as you can control it so it's only when you're alone.

Not normal. We all have an interior monologue most of us have learned how to have it without having to actually vocalize it. Autism or Aspergers diagnoses?

Practising psychology without a licence? There's nowhere near enough information for even a qualified person to make any diagnosis.
