Is it normal to talk, using a chipmunk voice?

I use my real voice most the time, but I also use my chipmunk voice quiet often in the middle of sentences or when I show emotions. My boyfriend thinks I'm a personal cartoon character. Is anyone else like this? Is this normal?

I would choke someone who did that. Annoying, not cute.

You should consider pursuing voice acting.

My voice has a lot of variance depending on how passionate I feel about the topic. And certain words and phrases are always said in a fake voice. It's amusing. If I'm speaking in a monotone, you know there is something wrong.

I vary my voice and accent all the time when I'm with people I know well. I don't know what your chipmunk voice is but I like the sound of it and I think you should keep doing it.
