Is it normal to tear your dry lip skin?

My lips has always been very dry despite the amount of water I drink sometimes.

So I tear the dead skin off sometimes. That normal? Even tore it till There was blood from my gums once

I think this is quite normal, but it probably isn't a healthy normal.

I do that a lot. I peel the dry skin from my lips without even knowing it as I do with with my teeth. It bleeds quite a bit, and my lips sometimes look really bad because of it.

If you ever catch yourself in the act - stop. Just don't do it. Eventually you'll learn not to.

I do it too when I'm nervous, anxious or after eating something. I just hate the feeling of thick or dry skin on my lips.

Whenever I catch a cold, my lips get very dry. I like to pick at the skin even though it hurts and sometimes bleeds. But yeah, you're normal.
