    My kitty changes her meow to get what she wants...she is so cute..my favorite is when she wants can food and meows like she did when she was a baby kitty..she makes herself sound so pitiful that I can't resist even though she has a huge bowl of hard food always full...she is such a begger. So precious my furry little monkey!

    I like meows. I never seem to be around meow-cats though, only purr-cats.

    I agree.

    OP, I have a 13 pound bruiser of a boy kitty. When he meows it comes out like your cat. A soft meow. My other cat that I had to put down recently because of old age disease, had a very loud, offending meow and she weighed 6 pounds.

    But I love any kitty meow. Kitties are wonderful!
