Is it normal to think about aging and my own mortality?

I think a lot about aging and what it will be like for me when I get older and older, also I think alot about mortality.

I also think a lot about what happens after we die, I've checked out a few sites and seen that there is some evidence for life after death, which intrigues me alot.

Is it normal to think about aging and mortality?

  • I remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain and I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life... You have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm sure. But don't worry... you will someday.

it is normal. you know what i noticed? older people have their houses clean and organized. like they're afraid if they died there would be dirty dishes and laundry all over and they'd be there dead and people judging them what a slob right.

  • I think about this sort of stuff very regularly. Almost daily, and it helps me to remember to take important care of myself. To always eat well, and to create a good life for myself and those around me, and positively influence/inspire others while I'm here.

Completely normal, I'm young and think about aging and my own mortality alot. I know a lot of the guys and girls that told me they do too. I do think we are too burdened with our own mortality and should not think about it so much and just enjoy right now. I guess it's just our human nature.

The idea of being mortal and actually having to vanish someday hit me when I was 19 and it has stayed with me ever since. It usually takes a near-death experience to make you REALLY consider all its implications. The idea probably bothers me because I haven't accomplished my goals; I think that by the time I'm satisfied with my life I won't have so much trouble letting go.
Also it has been demonstrated that the individuals who believe in an after life have better health than those who don't. Let's try to keep an open mind if only to be practical.

I think we all think about death the older we get. It's true what they say, beauty is wasted on the youth.

At this age (40), I really have my act together. But then it took all those years to make me the focused and seasoned man I've become.

I'm about to shift my career into high gear soon out of a regular white collar job into something far more lucrative. Not something I could've done in my early 20s. I'll probably become financially independent in a year or two.

I figure that I'm still in my prime for health, intelligence and so forth, so I intend to get the most out of my life before I begin to decline once I head into my 60s.

Hopefully by then I'll have realized some of my goals/ambitions I've set out for myself-one of which is to start a company to make some products I have in mind for the aviation field.

    Though I wish I could've stayed 30 forever. :)

Sounds completely normal. This subject is important for everyone to think about. I have thought a lot about it all my life.
