Is it normal to think i should've never reached my double digits?

Because of my childlike personality, the lack of a sex drive, and the anger (not to mention inner denial) at being an adult, I feel as if I should've never reached my 10th birthday. What's the point in becoming an adult if I won't change much from my kid self? I don't want to be 21. I'd be 9 years old for the rest of my life if I could.

You have yet to witness much of lifes joys. Right now, you might be hearing things like if you want this you must do that, or 'nothing is free, you must work for it'. You can't play with your Xbox until your homework is done. etc. The rules are there to teach you respocibilty, and accountability. Look then up -- Google them. Sadly, there is no climbing back into your mothers womb, so choose to go forward.

Relax, you're only 10 years old and speaking for myself, childhood is nice but things will get better as long as you make wise decisions and listen to your parents. Right now you may think your parents only want to make you miserable but they actually want what is best for you. Have fun in school but get good grades, go to college, get a good job and you will enjoy life. Life is a beautiful thing buddy, enjoy it.

Sometimes I wish I was still a child because of less responsibility, more fun and more joy. But then again kids are treated like dirt. So I get what you mean from an angle, but would you want to spend eternity with the knowledge of a 9-year-old, and never have a family or anything? So even though adult life, as I know, can suck, it is much better than being a kid.

It sounds like you have not come up with a life plan or goals yet. Kids are powerless. That's the downside. The upside is they don't have to make decisions and be responsible.

If I were 21 again I would get an education and get a job making money to something to sock away and be able to take care of myself better in the future. I know that sounds boring, but it sounds like you have a yellow personality, and they do not tend to plan for the future and just want to have fun. This will leave you vulnerable in this world. Take care of yourself.
