Well, I ain't saying the Bible is wrong. I fully believe in God and my faith has helped me on many hard paths. But I at times think that certain laws, particularly those on same sex relations & certain sexual taboos were either added in by homophobes, or due to hygiene, much like the food laws that were eventually repealed in the book of Acts. Is it normal to think like this? Or am I just corrupting the word of God by talking like this?

    Pigs are unclean animals to eat but chickens are acceptable?

    That's a major hint that the folks that came up with these rules did not know fuck-all about meat handling practices.

    It's normal. Back then when the bible was being translated or copied, it had to be done by hand. Many of the copywriters added their own philosophies and others changed the translations. So yes, it is normal to think that way

    yea, it's normal because bible was made for impose things on you, and if you are wondering if it's real is because you know something is wrong with this. i started wondering things like this and now i dont believe in anything of bible.

    the faith must depend and be inside of you, and not in a book...

    I don't read the bible, so I don't know... but it IS normal to question your faith and your doctrine. Humans are inquisitive by nature.

    Try googling "bible contradictions" if you wish to question furthur, but that's completely up to you.

    I feel the exact same way. You are not alone, I believe there is a God but all the rules people have made in the Bible are just ridiculous. I do not think God would want us fighting against on another all the time over translations or interpretations.

    Many things in the bible contradict human nature. Take the positivity out of the book and move on as it definetly keeps ppl on a decent path just like ANY positive books would ,just do not live ur entire life by the bible. living in fear is not God-like. That would mean I am going to hell because I have tattoos. I CALL BULLSHIT.
