Is it normal to think of iphone users as d-bags

the problem i have is when i start doing something on my android based phone and have people (iPhone users) call my phone a blatant rip-off of their precious device, then have them change the subject when i ask them if their phones can do what mine just did. maybe it's just the people who i've seen with the phone and my mind starts stereotyping but when i see someone talk about their iPhones i immediately think arrogant, conceeded, ignorant. don't know why it is.

  • I think it would be normal to be irritated by people bragging about their stupid phones, regardless of what manufacturer made it.

I do the same, but with Macs. They always seem to think that their Mac is better because it costs 10x more and can't get viruses. Whenever you use a PC in the vicinity of a person who owns a Mac, they will most likely yell these things:
"Oh, I keep forgetting this is a PC."
    "I still prefer my Mac."
"I think this computer got a virus, should have gotten a Mac."
"This would be soooo much easier on a Mac."
"Oh, I forgot it doesn't have iMovie."
"God, I'm so used to the dock being down here."
"I wonder if this is Intel based."
"Oh, heh, I was looking for a dmg file."
"See, why can't I just drag to install this?"
    "Mac, Mac, Macaroni!"
    ...etc
It gets really annoying. Although, if you flip it, there's a lot of things a Windows user could say in the vicinity of a Mac.

I know lots of non religous people with iPhones, what can an android do that my iPhone can't? I have no problems with the android or its users. Its not normal to think that iPhone users are douchbags, its normal to think that douchbags are douchbags.

Most of the Iphone users are religious. Never argue with religious people.

I've actually not purchased an iphone for a few reasons. Everyone that I know who has one has become so dependent on it. When we visit family and are trying to talk and catch up, everyone with an iphone, ipad, or ipod touch is sitting there with either their head down looking up stupid videos or facts, or glancing at it throughout a 1-on-1 conversation. My whole family owns iphones. My mother constantly states- "Oh, let's see how all of my words with friends games are going." Apple hit the nail on the head when creating a great machine. I agree it's awesome, but unfortunately for most people, it has sucked them in, turned them into zombies addicted to every app and feature, and they are spending big $$$ now because they must have it. People have begun to really feel like they are a loser if they don't own an iphone. After owning, they think they need to complete the set with a macbook, ipod, ipad, blah blah blah = big money for Apple.

I've had the same phone for the past 5 years and wouldn't consider changing it unless it was completely buggered. However, some people just want to show off a little with a new toy. Let them

I am posting on my iPhone now...

It sounds to me like to just hate this one particular habit which is common amoungst iPhone owners. By posting a story with such an inflamatory title you are just gonna attract interwebs hate...

It's no different than saying my sports team/car/pimp/family/race/country/school/gender/species blah blah is better than yours. This just what humans do, we like to make ourselves think we're better than everyone else. And we'll use whatever angle we can.

IIN to think that all android users are pretentious douchebags? No, but this one is.

All I hear in this is "ooh look at me, my phones better, zomfg!" we don't care. Phone choice is personal preference, kid.
