I am blown away by some of the advice given here, it's well thought out and helpful. If/when I have a problem I am going to post here. What do others think?

I've seen some comments that are totally sublime but the poster won't post again yet others post frequently yet don't say much of anything.
Like someone else said, "it's hit or miss".
Some of the people that are well-spoken here are often just plain wrong. They preach advice about subjects they clearly have no knowledge of. Especially in the realm of psychology.
That said, there are some users here who seem to give out good, knowledgeable advice regularly. I'm one of them. I am the cat's meow, so to speak. Worship me.
I advice you to stop flattering your advisor. He/she might start giving you free unwanted advices just to keep feeling useful and keep his self esteem up and running. An apparently good advice can screw up your life but listing all of the possibilities that you know of leaves the choice to the person. So be careful with advices. They might destroy your life.
Yeah, you got to watch it though. Not everyone is giving good advice. someone may even say something completley stupid. Its funny what some people say though! Read the advice, but think to youself, "Is it good advice?". If you think it is, use it. still be careful though.
I don't like to pick out an individual, because it implies everyone else is rubbish (they're really not - there are more wonderful people here than I could name), but - as a one time only thing - I've always been a fan of howaminotmyself.
It's a hit or miss.
Some responses are in fact, amazing.. While others make you want to shoot the replier in the face just to save others from the ridiculous answers they tend to give.
Also, when looking for advice, people are in times of desperate needs. Anyone giving any insight is usually an eye-opener into how to deal with the situation.
