Is it normal to think that freckles are a rare skin condition?

My brother: Does Anthony Ramos have a lot of freckles?

Me: Why?

My brother: Does he?

Me: Yeah. Why??

My brother: Well cause I've seen pictures and he has a lot of them!

Me: If you've seen pictures, then why are you asking me???

My brother: Well... I just wanted to make sure he didn't have a rare skin condition!

Please help. Is this normal?

It depends where (talking geographically, not where on the body)

It seems very common on some groups of Europeans (namely the ginger types, in Ireland and Scotland). I've also seen numerous (generally mixed race) Latin American people with them too.

I haven't seen many fully/mostly black people with them, and it seems rarer still in Asians (all types of Asians). I'm sure somewhere there are Asians with freckles, but I've never seen one with them personally.

I come from a family of redheads and freckles is common
i don't see it being a huge issue or problem my late mom
had Strawberry blonde and her brother had fire engine red
hair i got brown hair so yes freckles isn't really a skin
    condition.
