All my friends that have girlfriends are popular with in our group. While guys like me, who are usually ignored, get tossed aside. I feel that I have to compete for attention. I'm not shy around my friends but my bluntness can easily turn them away. It seems that girls only go for the popular guys and while I've been told that I'd make a good boyfriend, I'm starting to doubt that a girl will ever love me.

    You wouldn't want a girl who goes for popularity anyway. All you need is 1 so don't be discouraged.

    School is very much like the prison system with lots of unwritten rules and a social pecking order. I hated it with a passion.
