Is it normal to think the dewey decimal is a star system? (as a kid)

When I was a kid I used to think the Dewey Decimal System was a star system. I of course learned soon after that it wasn't, but I was always wondering why people told me to use a star system to find a book in the library.

Just a funny story that I thought I'd share. XD

When I read your title I thought that by 'star system' you meant like... 5 stars, in praise of the almighty system of decimals devised by one man whose surname was Dewey, who would change the world with his uncanny book organizational skills and the system's ability to trough through the obstacles of time only to rise to the top, standing tall above all other systematical attempts to organize books in such a profound way that it just shall not be fucked with.

Dumb politicians fucked with it. Library of Congress has it's own system.
