Is it normal to think we should put the elderly in prison?

We should place the elderly in prisons so they will get a shower every day (even in California), video surveillance in case of problems, three meals a day, TV, gym, doctors on-site and free medications if needed.
Put criminals in nursing homes and they'll get cold meals, lights off at 7PM, two showers a week, live in an even smaller room and pay rent at $4000.00 a month!!!
It's pretty sad that we treat prisoners better than the elderly.

    Prisons are nothing but a glorified vacation get away.

    I recalled how the prison warden was proud to say that how his newly built prison had state of the art floor heating, entertainment centre for each prisoner, etc.

    Meanwhile one of our local high schools has to wait for a year to have their dilapidated buildings repaired. I suggested at a community meeting why don't we just put fucking barbed wire around the school and convert it into a prison to get the repairs done faster.

      I know. It is highly irritable how the ignorant fools in office today cannot control the endless surge of human imperfection and ugliness. Then intellectuals get ranted at when they speak up about this obvious problem.

      Prisons should have flogging posts, grave pits and hard labor. Not to mention vivisections and rusty surgical tools.
