Is it normal to try and be quiet when on a public/work toilet

I hate that other people can sit on the toilet and and let it all out..... At work we all know each other fairly well and bathroom breaks are a small side show in the office with a few guys (and women) who seem to blast the toilet pan when having a number 2 I have no problem to be fair' with these people but I do have a mental block that prevents me just shitting as it were... I have to wait for a hand drier or the tap to be turned on before I push one out quickly. I also don't like taking much paper off the roll in one go as I think people will think I have had a big one and made a mess. This is all very stupid when I read it back but a real problem in my reality, especially when you been bursting for a poo and you've been on the toilet 15 mins with out letting it out because there are people in the next cubical and for what ever reason I can't stop thinking they are listening to me waiting for me to drop it so they can snigger and think bad of me. wow this is all so laughable to me yet a disruptive part of my life.

I used to be paranoid that maybe someone's listening to my pee stream, but now, I don't give a shit.

I don't think you should care, shitting is all part of being human. Everyone does it, so you shouldn't be embarrassed.

I do the same thing.. There's a meeting room outside the bathroom at work and when people are the are try not to make any noises or just use another one.

I think it's good for others to hear one moaning and straining as the mighty mud snake is being birthed!

I'm with you. The right kind of sound effects can add to the drama of the situation.

It would be fun to hear it. Sadly, it would be unwise to meet in public. After all, we are both creeps.

Well, my sister and I were in the bathroom at a posh Las Vegas casino about 16 years ago, and as I was enjoying the porcelain throne in my stall I heard the sounds of explosive diarrhea. It was late, and it seemed the large expansive public restroom was relatively empty so I commenced to mercilessly teasing my sister about what I assumed was her diarrhea. Come to find out it was a complete stranger I was making fun of... Mwahahaha!
