Can someone type like a guy?
I'm a girl and sometimes I notice that my writing style hold a bit of masculinity. At times I can be rude, vulgar, and arrogant when I'm having a discussion with a stranger over the internet, and they often asume that I'm a guy. Is this normal?
This happens to me as well. Usually, people will assume that I'm a male, and before I know it I'm being called, "dude" or "bro". That in itself isn't horrible, but I couldn't help but raise my brow a few times.
So, I think is it possible (and normal) to type 'like a guy'. Maybe I should give people a hint and change my username to, "I_HAVE_A_VAGINA_1234"
Guy or girl, it's the Internet. People can be as bold as tthey want or say whatever they want sitting behind their computer screens or phones, that they wouldn't say to someone in person so I don't really think it matters
I love hearing people's tone within their writing style and I enjoy what my 'writing tone' reads like. On a site like this you see many different kinds of moods and temperaments and I typically just assume I know if I'm reading something written by a male or female.
I think if you hadn't of said anything about your gender I would have thought you were a girl just by your word usage. Of course, you probably write differently in a conversational setting.
