I can only use 15 gallons a day, it goes like this --> 1 gallon for food/drinking, 14 for bathing --> then the bath water gets used for---> washing clothes ---> then washing dishes ---> then watering the plants
Will friends be grossed out if they find out the dishes they are eating from have been washed with bath/laundry water?
Clothes yes, dishes definitely NO. Why the limit on water usage and do you also recycle bath water to flush your toilet?
I am a water conservationist as well. I am able to use 15 gallons per day by limiting toilet flushes, turning off my shower while I soap up, running full loads in my water efficient dishwasher, and wearing clothes around the house for more days. (I always have a clean shirt that I wear for shopping and restaurants, hang it up when I get home.).
I learned these skills when I lived in Australia long ago. Google.com.au might have more ideas.
Why can you only use 15 gallons of water per day? Is someone preventing you from having ample water? If this is some self imposed weirdo shit then just stop with it!
Wow! That's insane! I lived in the Las Vegas for 15 years, and didn't nobody tell me to keep it at 15 gallons a day. I do remember that they were always telling people to limit how much they watered their lawns. Also a lot of people would change their lawns to something called zero-scape. Anyway? I hate the desert.

Your attitude is understandable if your live on the water rich North American continent. But people who live in water poor parts of the world like Isreal, Saudi Arabia, arid locations in the Australian outback would think your comment is not only aloof, but also arrogant. You may not realize it, but at an international level, you just told these people to fuck off.

Your clothes and dishes will never be clean if you wash them in used bath water. Can I suggest either only bathing every other day, or have a shower instead. or if you have no access to a shower try a stand up wash
wouldn't friends be from the same area and know your situation? And probably do the same with their water supply...
15 gallons a day is a very small amount to manage on: I've just checked my water bill and I used 135 litres which converts to 35 gallons, much less than the local average of 220 litres (58 gallons) day for a one person household.
I don't see how you do it and I'm very glad I don't have to. I'm very frugal with water: I wash dishes once every day or second day; I don't wash clothing unless it's dirty and don't shower every day, as well as flushing the toilet with shower water.
