I agree it has risks and dangers, but providing you measure your doses, I don't think it's any more dangerous than drinking alcohol at a party (which is even more likely to make you violent and psychotic).
Umm, not a good idea. And alcohol is not used to model psychosis, but phencyclidine (PCP) is. Alcohol doesn't cause psychosis period. Psychosis is an inability to distinguish fantasy from reality, which is NOT a side effect of liquor. The glutamate hypothesis of schizophrenia (backed by extensive research and effective medications) was conceived from the effects of PCP. It was briefly used as an anesthetic (Sernyl) but was soon discontinued on account of a side effect being PSYCHOSIS. And that was at therapeutic doses. Just like any other street drug, you never really know the potency of what you're getting. Not to mention that it's a schedule II controlled substance; you can get in tremendous legal trouble with that stuff (felony drug charges). Plus you don't hear about drunk people doing things like EATING THEIR 3 YEAR-OLD SON'S EYES! But a guy on PCP did. You're playing with one hell of a fire, dude.

There has been warnings on tobacco packaging, restrictions on adverts, respectable medical studies done, insanely more proof readily availible.
