Is it normal to use same adjectives to mean different things?

i use the words 'cute', 'tasty' and 'fun' with and without sarcasm to pretty much describe everything i do, i do know others words but i know what i mean when i use them however people sometimes give me weird looks about it and guys tend to get confused by the way i use 'cute' to describe things as pretty much anything small, pretty or sexy.

i just wondered if other people have a few words they use for everything or if i seriously need to start using more of my words o.o
