  • Lol you honestly don't know how silly you sound. Anyway, I'm not going to tell you to quit (even though you should), so I say maybe try switching brands or going for the lights.

ok, i'm 24. i've been smoking since i was in 8th grade. some people's bodies just handle nicotine differently. first of all, tobacco does not give you a buzz at all. whoever told you that obviously knows nothing. and nicotine does irritate the stomach if people are not normally accustomed to it. it's happened to me before. even though i've been smoking cigarettes for 10 years, the second time i ever smoked a big cigar, i threw up too. it's all about the amount of nicotine and how high or low your tolerance is.
might i suggest you go a little easier. instead of a marlboro red, try the lights. camels, pall malls, pyramids, and kools are good brands. the ones i personally don't like are salems and newports. but try some of the different ones. you can't keep getting sick from them. eventually you will be able to enjoy them with no problems :)

Smoking depletes oxygen in the blood and the brain. It acts really quickly and the early effects are feeling dizzy and/or sick. For reasons I confess I don't understand, you get used to it, and it stops happening.

I know you told us not to tell you to quit, so I'm not, but I will tell you something about quitting. Say quitting after seven weeks was as hard as picking up a penny. Quitting after seven years is like lifting a car. I've done both. I'm not telling you to stop. Just letting you know how it is.

    • i don't have an addictive personality and i don't have a problem to stop anytime, while this story waited for approval i smoked 3 more cigarettes and i think i'm getting used to it but i don't feel like i'm getting addicted since i haven't smoked for a day and half and i don't feel like i want to.

Completely normal. Some people's bodies are more sensitive than others so the amount of cigarettes it takes varies from person to person. Think of it this way: your lungs are made to take in fresh air (oxygen), and get rid of the old air (carbon dioxide); that's it. You absolutely need oxygen, so when you introduce a foreign substance like cigarette smoke, your lungs don't get enough oxygen which makes you dizzy. On top of that, you also absorb the chemicals in that smoke (ex. nicotine) which have all kinds of effects like increased blood pressure, etc. So, lack of oxygen plus high blood pressure and more gives you that terrible nauseous feeling and the excessive sweating. I've personally experienced it after smoking 2 or more cigarettes in a row. I only smoke one or two cigs a day after I get home from work.

It's all the extra chemicals that are in pre-rolled cigarettes. Try roll-your-own tobacco. Or if you really want to be a connoisseur grow your own tobacco and invest in a quality pipe. Pipes are much classier than cigarettes and home-grown tobacco is much healthier for you. Also good clean air to smoke in is the way to go, not cooped up in a small room or a car or something. Happy smoking, and enjoy it while it lasts because cancer sure can be torturous :)

Same thing happened to me. I love Marlboro Reds, they're my favorite and give me a great little buzz. However, chain smoking them sometimes makes me feel like shit. I was on my lunch break from work and I smoked 5 and when I came back I started feeling ill and short-breathed and could hardly deal with customers. So yes, normal. Just don't have too many at one time.

I puked the first few times I started smoking. Just make sure you dont swallow the smoke. And dont smoke alot since you're starting out. You can overdose. I've done it. I almost died..
