Is it normal to want a break from school?

I graduated from a small junior college with an associates degree, and I applied and was accepted to a huge, four year university.

I went there one day, and I didn't like it. I had a hard time location which building my classes were in and how to get to the classroom. I didn't know where the cafeterias were. I got a late start registering so a couple of my classes have 300+ students in the same class. I didn't get to pick what I wanted. And I didn't really talk to anyone.

I'm 60 credit hours away from a bachelor's degree. I'd like to take a semester or more off, travel, and get a job, hopefully in my field of study, but if I can't then any where is fine, but I have a scholarship that gives me $12,000 a year as long as I don't take time off.

I will lose $24,000 by taking time off (since getting 60 credit hours will take 2 years), but I won't be happy if I keep going.

I'm considering taking two Saturday classes just to keep my scholarship, but that ruins my dreams of travel.

Suck it up and finish. 60 hrs is nothing. I dropped out when I was younger and it was a lot more difficult to go back and finish. I did it...but not all can or will.

Do what makes you happy. But remember, you are very fortunate to have a scholarship.. Don't let that go to waste.
