Is it normal to want a tattoo of her?

I've had my cat for nearly 19 years now, we got her when I was 3 so I kinda grew up with her. I moved out of home when I was 19 and she came with me so we have our own little world together now. I know how sad I sound but I do love her dearly...maybe a little too much. Her mother ran away when she was about 2 weeks old so any habbits she's picked up are very human like (she can only play with her claws out so I am covered in scars!) and the amount of people who have said to me "I don't like cats buts I love her" is amazing! She's a unique special little thing, and although she's nearly as old as me she's my baby! Anyway I have recently noticed age is getting the better of her, she doesn't play as much anymore, she sleeps an awful lot, she has batwings and I know 18 is pretty old for a cat so it breaks my heart to know she wont be with me long so I was thinking about getting an exact copy of her pawprint as a tattoo? I know I'm young and I'll have other pets but let's face it, she's my first "love" and I'll never find anything quite like her! I haven't told anyone this, as much as I love her I know this is verging on sad so what do you think? Normal or not?

    Why not a tattoo of her whole face or body? I definitely think it's normal. I genuinely hope she will live for long.

    Awesome idea! Consider the placement on your body carefully though. Remember it will be with you for life. The back of your neck would be cool place for it!

    You should totally go for it! I have a cat, too, but he's only 4. But I love him dearly! If you want a tattoo, you should get one. It's your own choice. I usually don't like tattoos, but I fully support you on this one!

    I dont think youre sad, I think youre just someone who loves their pet. I love my pets just as much. I have a lot of Tats... & the best are Tats that mean something to you. Just do it in a tasteful spot, so its not awkward to explain it to people all the time. I think a great spot would be on the top of your foot. Since cats always walk around your feet & rub up against them. Just a cute idea to remember her. Good luck :)
