Is it normal to want to be a competitive eater?

I want to be a big time competitive eater. It is my number one passion. But is it normal to want to do this knowing that millions starve to death every day?

it's not much of an ambition but at least you have a reason for getting out of bed in the morning.

competitive eating doesn't make you a bad person. In fact id say its good that you are doing that because now the food won't go to waste. America throws away, into garbage cans, 40% of the food it produces. If people like you can get that number way the hell down then that can only be a good thing.
The food shortage of the world has nothing to do with people over-eating. And someone who decides to eat more than enough isn't contributing to the problem at all.

Competitive eating is awesome and really fun. Exercise though ;)

Aren't you afraid of getting fat?

There is going to be competitive eating out there anyway so you not going for it won't really make much of a difference to the people starving to death.

Although, if guilt > competitive eating then in the end that's up to you.
