Is it normal to want to be pagan/wiccan??

Hiya,

When I was little I heard a song with a spell in it & was fascinated. I looked Wicca up on the Internet & it makes a lot more sense than Christianity. A lot of friends of mine have got disabilities & so have I -- this is why I don't believe in God/go to church.

I live in the country anyway, & I luv being out in nature so much that I feel ill when/if I’m not so it'd be no big step to be Wiccan. Any ideas/advice??

Go for it hun. :) I'm a very spiritual person myself who does the odd spell or too. ;) If you feel as though it is your calling and could work for you, then by all means stay true to yourself!

Wicca is an earth based religon. Most Wiccans dont even believe in satan. Just heed the Wiccan Rede. '' with harm to none, do what ye will''. I am a Wiccan High Priest, Shaman & a Druid. Follow your heart and don't let anyone tell you different

Wicca won't heal amputees anymore than god(s) or godess(es) will.

You have to be careful wicca and the occult are tricky things. Satan is tricking people with it. The spells work ( some of them ) but until you're trained I dont recommend doing it alone. Just because you have a disability doesnt mean you shouldnt believe in God.

Wicca is a religion. It is NOT practicing magick. The two are separate things. Most Wiccans do practice magic as part of their worship.

You show us solid proof that "Satan" is tricking us and I'll believe whatever you say

If you want to convert to a minor religion, go for Rastafarianism. Can't argue with sanctified toking.

    Hiya,

I wish I did though. It seems to make a lot of people happy. I was baptised in a panic because it was thought I wasn't going to make it, but I can't believe when I see people worse off than me; just sat in chairs/in bed unable to do anything.

I shall! I luv old fashioned language etc. I’ve written a few stories with spells/songs in. I'm obsessed with hares too and have been since I was quite young. There'd be problems getting to a gathering but I can always try it out on my own.

Remember though... you said you don't believe in God because of your disability.

Wiccans don't worship nature. They worship God and Goddess. So there's still a higher power you're turning to.

Not all, but most do worship the Goddess

Traditionally it's suppose to be both.

I know some tend to focus only on the Goddess.... but that too is against the balance.

if anything there is one serious flaw in modern wicca - not the religion itself but in the followers... many covens tend to focus on women only and men tend to be excluded.

it's one of the issues my boyfriend faces when he tries to find covens. finding one that accepts him as a full member (especially since he is a priest) isn't easy.

I had the same issue. If covens give him any merde (french for shit\crap) bring up the balance issue. It worked for me, and I'm on my way to becoming High Priest to our Lord and Lady.
