Is it normal to want to point out the fallacies in fb posts?

Those stupid facebook posts that say shit like

'Dear God, why is there violence in school?'

God: 'Because I'm not allowed there anymore'

arrrgh they're so stupid!! There's all sorts of them for all occasions and all of them are based on fallacies. I want to reply with the type(s) of fallacy the post displays. Instead of engaging in an argument with the person maybe they'll just see that the post is dumb based on logic and god willing, learn something since it's less hostile than arguing.

IIN?

I agree. Fb gives everyone a false sense of entitlement.

Just unfriend the people who piss you off, or try not to friend them in the first place.

I know what you mean though. Some people post stupid and inane rubbish on facebook and there's a social obligation to ignore it when actually you just want to reply, "Who gives a fuck?" or "That's the stupidest thing you've ever written."

Dude you must be like me and cool! Facebook is shit! Like I use my instagram profile to communicate with people through photography! It's like a much more honest expression of myself and my feelings.

can view and use your profile stats info etc .. i'm all for shutting the site down .. the pathetic thing is most people are so reliant on it , they wouldn't have a clue on how to live a normal life away from the screen off their fat arses out in the real world without it !

one example is that they give you apparent "privacy controls" yet update the site frequently to include links that people can view your profile off on a past posted comment even after blocking etc .. & lets not forget third party apps & internet sites that you have no control over whatsoever that -

Facebook is nothing but an overrated commercial cashcow that breeds arguments and hate & violence even among family members .. There is too much freedom within the site & i find that you cannot convey expression or emotion as you could face to face through posting words on a site thus words get -

  • There's no end to incorrect lines of thinking. You could spend your whole life combating them and never reach the end.

Instead of combating each person over why they're wrong, announce to no one in particular why you're right.

It denounces every lie you can encounter without ever once directly engaging it.
