Is it normal to want to stare?

I just want to stare at anything I want, when I want and for how long I want. I don't want to hear "What you lookin at?" Are others the same?

When I was in High School I'd always stare at random things, sometimes on purpose, others just to hear "What the hell are you staring at?!".

I used to have to eat meals with someone that would constantly accuse me of staring at him, the wall, the ceiling, other people, my food or whatever.

I was usually very tired and just trying to enjoy my meal without a lot of bullshit.

I got fed up one day and threw a pancake at his head and yelled at the top of my lungs "I'M SORRY I DON'T HAVE THE STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS OF A FUCKING SQUIRREL, TOM!!!"

No more talk of staring after that.

    • Wouldn't everyone be staring at you then? Do squirrels stare? I don't understand.

How will you feel if you stare at the wrong person and end up with a black eye or worse? Most people don't like creepers!

It seems your attitude says, "I don't give a damn what others think or how they feel."
Or maybe, you are just a "peeper" who isn't out of the closet yet?
Either way, I imagine you are headed down a bumpy path, so you might want to fasten your seat belt, until you learn a few of society's most basic courtesies.

    Yes, it is normal.

You are actually looking at the Universe (the world around you) in a truer way, than what has been commonly believed by most people throughout history and prehistory.
As it turns out, we actually scan the world around us with our eyes and electromagnetic sensory organs (nerve endings), NOT 'taking it all in', so to speak.
