Is it normal to want to visit prison or a jail?

I really want to visit a prison or a jail, I want to know what it's really like to be in one of those places. Ever since May I've had this desire to want to do it just for my bucket list. It may sound weird to other people but I'm so wanting to do it in fact I keep dreaming about wanting to do it ever since.

Is it normal?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Didn't say it was. I said if they want to visit a prison so bad, they should commit a crime. Easy.

Visiting and being imprisoned is not the same. I have friends who did prison, the kind you would call tough guys and they do not want to be there again.

You're not missing out! I only had an overnight stay in jail (not my proudest moment, but at least I learned from it) and I hated it. It was mind numbingly boring, as all there is to do is sleep, talk to your cell mate if they're up for it/not asleep, or maybe play cards. The food is terrible, and you have to go to the bathroom in front of a camera, as well as your cell mate(s). No freedom or privacy, it really makes you realize what you take for granted in everyday life. 0/10, would not recommend.

Just go up to a cop and say u wanna go to prison. If they say no, start telling them off. It might work. Maybe just like an overnighter

That last sentence was not grammatically perfect but was somehow adorable

I think it says in the Bible that people are supposed to visit those who are incarcerated. I've never visited anyone in jail. I probably wouldn't visit someone in jail unless they were there for a nonviolent offense.

How’s the food? They served the same gruel in 4 different ways here. I lost 7 lbs in 5 days from not eating.

Walk down the road and flick a cop off that drives by. He will stop you and force you to identify. Refuse to give him your ID and he will take you to jail. It will all get thrown out in court because the supreme court ruled flicking off a cop is first amendment protected. They can only force you to ID if they have "reasonable articular suspicion that you broke the law". So since they arrested you for failure to identify and there was no crime in the first place it will get thrown out. Because legally you do not have to give them your ID if they cant articulate the crime. But they will still take you to jail to flex their ego.

Cops know this and know youll beat it but are also with their qualified immunity allowed to make screw ups like this. They will sleep well knowing atleast that guy who gave them the finger went to jail. They use qualified immunity to flex their egos on ppl. You'll go to jail but get out that night if its your first charge. You'll get out on pretrial diversion.
