Is it normal to watch a video of a dog's anal glands getting squeezed?

My dog, Brian, has been rubbing his ass against the floor. I had a poll, and (I already knew this), but it turns out he doesn't have worms, but he need his ass glands squeezed. I find it pretty helpful, I guess, but I don't know if it's normal.
