Is it normal to wear cute underwear and a bra as a bathing suit?

I have super cute panties from Victoria secret you know ladies the ones that are usually 5 for 25 some are like shorts that curve at your butt, well yah I feel like they're cute and comfortable enough to wear to swim. Those and a nice bra actually compliment my body more than a bathing suit plus I feel better support from the breast area. Is there anything wrong? Does anyone else do this?

    Well as a lady I say...

    Don't wear your underwear as a swimsuit. It doesn't matter if they're comfortable the water will not only fade them but destroy them. Save some money and buy a swimsuit. And avoid destroying your cute underwear. Swimsuits are made to handle water your underwear isn't.

    See i have to agree with the original person who posted this! I freakin hate bathing suites cuz I swear no matter what size they make the elastics so tight it makes my body so unflattering. I lost 25lbs and was excited to try bathing suites thinking I looked good only to let my self down even in an extra large bottom I weigh 147lbs and I'm 5'4" tall and they still made my love handles look so fugly! Unlike my bra and underwear! I'm about to buy black underwear and bra and not care what ppl say since ppl wear freakin thongs to the beach!

    God. I've done it before. It's not a big deal. Most people won't even notice if you don't tell them. I wore a bra and boyshorts a whole summer as a bathing suit because I couldn't afford the suit I wanted. Just don't do real heavy swimming because your underwear will get heavy with water and fall off. Happened to me. Ugh.

          I think they do dry faster. Put on soaking wet bra and panties and see how long it takes to dry. Then put on soaking bikini top and bottom and see how long it takes.

    I did this once and got kicked out of the pool. White probably wasn't the best color choice.

    Wear what you feel comfortable wearing. Don't let other people scare you with stories about your clothes or underwear getting ruined. Chlorine ruins everything including swimwear. It's why most of it doesn't last more than one season. I wear my underwear for swimming all the time, especially since I like to go to secluded swimming holes over public pools anyway. I wore boxer briefs from Crazy Boxer in an indoor pool at a motel recently and was there all afternoon. I had the pool to myself but I was on video at the front desk and no one said a word.

    I've also been known to go swimming in jeans.

    Ugh how disgusting! Don't do it because people will make fun of you. There is nothing worse than going to the beach in America (where I live) and seeing people using undergarments as swimsuits. It's usually Indian people. (not trying to stereotype just an observation) but seriously it's nasty no matter how cute the undergarments are. Show them to your boyfriend instead. He will appreciate them. People at the beach or pool won't.

    I use my regular clothes as a bathing suit. T-shirt and basketball shorts or sometimes board shorts. However, I'd say it's normal simply because swim suits are different for everyone.

      I do that a lot too!! ^^ but some places here where I live u can't wear normal clothes which sucks and I'm so uncomftable with wearing swimsuits cause I don't like my body but I mean there's worse things in life that could happen so I say ... Do what u want and be confident in yourself and what's the difference its still underwear but different texture .. Just make sure to wear black or pattern under wear or bras no white haha
