Is it normal to wipe dust off of things with your fingers?

When I see dust on things like clocks, I want to wipe it off so it looks clean. I know that dust is like dead skin, but I still like to wipe it off. I don't use napkins or cloths though. I just use my finger. It isn't disgusting and I kind of have OCD about it lol. I dust off my desk too from erasers. Is it normal to do that?

    Yes, but I'd rather use a cloth as it's more effective.

    I wipe the dust off my feet after leaving the thug city of the US, Chicago.

    I always use a cloth and a spray cleaner. I only use my fingers when I want to draw happy faces in the dust or write something like, "Jesus loves you" or "wash me" in someone else's dust or dirt. They might not like my graffiti but at least it forces them to clean up. Mwahahaha!!!
